Talk it through. Writrex writes it up.
The best content comes from what you already know: the job you did this morning, the question a customer keeps asking. Voice Writing turns two minutes of talking into a finished draft, with your own facts in it and nothing made up.
Talk. Check. Write.
Open Writrex → Voice Writing, choose Blog post or Page, and press Start talking. Your words appear on screen as you speak. Stop when you are done, listen to your brief read back, fix anything that was misheard, and confirm.
- Writrex picks the title, keyword, area and image from what you said, so there is no form to fill in
- It then writes with the same template, brand profile, quality gate and SEO plugin sync as every other page
- The result is saved as a draft by default, so you read it before anyone else does
- Speech-to-text runs in your browser. Writrex never records or stores your audio
From your voice to a draft, in minutes.
Say it like you would to a colleague.
A big Start talking button opens a full-screen recorder. Speak naturally, pause when you need to and carry on. Writrex keeps listening for up to ten minutes and joins it all together.
Hear it back before anything is written.
Writrex reads your brief aloud so you catch a misheard town or a wrong number. Edit the text, add more, or start again. Nothing is written until you confirm.
Your facts in, a finished draft out.
One small AI call picks the title, keyword, area and image. Then the normal pipeline writes it, scores it on 38 checks and saves it, with your story as the source material.
Your experience is the one thing AI cannot fake.
Generic AI writes what everyone else's AI writes. A burst pipe in Headingley, the odd thing you found behind a boiler, the reason you never use that part: that is first-hand experience, and it is exactly what search engines and readers look for.
Voice Writing treats what you say as the main source. Real jobs, places, numbers and opinions are kept. Writrex may add general background to make the piece complete, but it keeps that separate from your own story.
Every real detail you give.
Jobs, customers' questions, place names, numbers, tools, opinions. If you said it, it stays in.
Invent your experience.
No made-up jobs, customers, results or numbers. A name that looks misheard is kept exactly as written and flagged for you to check, never silently replaced.
Every setting, and why it is there.
Voice Writing works well straight away. These are the controls, and what each one is for.
Blog post or Page
The two tabs on the Voice Writing screen. A blog post can be advice, a story or a tip. A page is a service or location page, so you also mention the town or area. If you forget it, Writrex takes you back to your brief and asks.
Writing style (blog posts)
Automatic, Business or marketing, or Personal story. Automatic reads what you said and decides. Choose it yourself when you know: a diary-style post should not end with a sales pitch.
When it is written
Save as draft so I can check it (the default) or Publish straight away. Even on Publish, the quality gate holds a weak result as a draft, like everywhere else in Writrex.
Read my brief back to me
On by default. After you stop talking, Writrex reads your brief aloud. Hearing it is the fastest way to spot a misheard word. The Read back button is always there if you switch this off.
Say "yes" or "no" to confirm
Off by default. Turn it on to confirm hands-free after the read-back. It needs automatic read-back and works best in Chrome. The buttons always work too.
Default speech language
Match my site language, or pick one of 12: six English variants (US, UK, Australia, Ireland, India, South Africa), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Dutch. The right language keeps names and places accurate.
A sales page and a diary entry are not the same post.
Most tools wrap every post in the same marketing frame. Voice Writing lets a story stay a story.
For posts that need to win work.
- SEO structure, headings and FAQ
- Proof points and your brand profile's voice and rules
- A clear call to action
- Full quality score on 38 checks
For a diary, lifestyle or story blog.
- First person, events in the order you told them
- No sales language, no FAQ, no "in conclusion"
- No business proof or conversion checks bolted on
- Safety checks and the output scrubber still apply
Pages are always written as business pages. The writing style choice is for blog posts.
It writes through the same pipeline as everything else.
Voice Writing is a faster way to give Writrex a brief, not a shortcut around its safeguards. Your spoken brief goes through the normal generator, so the protections you rely on still apply.
- Your template and brand profile, including banned phrases and "never say" rules
- The quality gate, with weak results held as drafts
- SEO title, meta description and keyphrase synced to your SEO plugin
- Featured image from your chosen image provider
- Your daily limits, locks and overlap protection
- Generation is never started by accident: you press Confirm
Free to use. Private by design.
| Browser | Talk to type | Read back |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome (desktop and Android) | ✓ | ✓ |
| Edge | ✓ | ✓ |
| Safari (Mac and iPhone) | ✓ | ✓ |
| Firefox | - | ✓ |
- No audio is stored. Your browser turns speech into text. Writrex receives only the text you confirm
- No extra cost. Speech-to-text is free, so there is no voice allowance to run out of
- Works on a phone. Open WordPress admin in Chrome or Safari and talk on the go
- Needs HTTPS, like every site that uses a microphone
Talk like you are telling a friend.
Thirty seconds of vague talk gives a vague post. A minute or two of specifics gives one only you could have written.
- Start with one real job, customer question or story
- Say the town, the street, the part, the price, the time it took
- Give your opinion: what you would tell a friend to do
- For a page, say the service, where you offer it and what makes you different
- Aim for 40 words or more. Writrex nudges you if it is shorter
- Check the read-back for names and numbers before you confirm
