# Existing page SEO repair Open *Writrex → SEO Repair*. Two tabs: **Generated pages** (pages Writrex created) and **Existing pages** (everything else on the site). This page covers Existing pages. **Metadata only.** Repairs can change the *meta title*, *meta description* and *focus keyphrase*. It runs in batches with a cursor so it can resume, and results are cached. On slower shared hosting, lower the *batch size*. Saving a page invalidates its cached verdict. | Status | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Optimised | The field looks usable under the current scan rules. | | Plugin default | Your SEO plugin appears to use a template. An empty meta title often means the plugin generates it from its title template — not that the page is broken. | | Needs improvement | Present, but too short, too long, duplicated, generic or worth reviewing. | | Missing | No usable saved value. | ## Single-page repair 1. Pick the fields to repair — title, description, focus keyphrase. 2. **Propose** — Writrex asks your AI provider for suggestions (one request per page) and stores the proposal. Nothing on the live page changes yet. 3. **Apply** — the current values are backed up, then the proposal is written to your SEO plugin. 4. **Undo** — restores the backup for the fields that were written. Fields that already contain a value are skipped unless you tick *overwrite*. Changing an existing focus keyphrase changes what your SEO plugin scores the page against. ## Bulk repair Select pages, generate proposals in a chunked queue, review, and apply them together. Each batch is recorded so it can be undone as a group, and field-scoped restore only reverts the fields that were written. **API credit.** Bulk suggestions use one AI request per page, so large sites consume provider credit accordingly. ## Generated pages tab Diagnoses meta descriptions on pages Writrex created, proposes a better description and applies it, with backup and restore.
