# Licensing and plans Writrex works free with limits. A paid licence unlocks more features and sites for a year. ## Activating a licence 1. Open *Writrex → Settings* and find the **Licence** card. 2. Paste your **licence key** and click *Activate*. 3. The **Plan Features** table then shows what your plan enforces, includes and limits. **Refunds.** A licence can be refunded within 14 days only if it has not been activated on any site. When you reach the limit, deactivate a site from *Settings → Licence* or from your account before activating another. ## Validation Writrex re-checks your licence periodically — about every 24 hours — and allows a grace period if a check briefly fails, so a short network problem won't interrupt a working site. Only your licence key and site URL are sent to the Writrex licence server. It also delivers plugin update information. ## Uninstalling Uninstalling removes Writrex settings, schedules, cache tables and diagnostics. **Generated posts, pages, products and media are left in place.** Your monthly repair counter is preserved.
